International Fire Symposium and Exhibition has been shaped as a multidisciplinary platform for knowledge and experience sharing, building upon the initiatives that began with the Fire Seminar organized in 2018 through the cooperation of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and the İzmir Branch of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers.
At the said seminar, fire-related issues were addressed under the main headings of prevention, inspection, and suppression, revealing that each of these areas encompasses numerous subtopics and fields of expertise. This clearly demonstrated the necessity of approaching fire safety in a more comprehensive manner through the contributions of different disciplines.
Developed with this sense of responsibility, the International Fire Symposium and Exhibition aims to promote the sharing of scientific, technical, and practice-oriented knowledge in the field of fire safety, to strengthen interdisciplinary interaction, and to establish a common platform for discussion among all relevant stakeholders.
Organized in cooperation with the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and the İzmir Branches of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, Chamber of Civil Engineers, Chamber of Electrical Engineers, Chamber of Environmental Engineers, Chamber of Chemical Engineers, Chamber of Textile Engineers, Chamber of Architects, Chamber of Landscape Architects, and Chamber of Mining Engineers, the symposium will be held on 17–18 September 2026 at the MMO Tepekule Convention and Exhibition Center, İzmir.
With the participation of international delegates, the event will bring together public institutions and organizations, academics, professional chambers, private sector representatives, and practitioners, providing an opportunity to share current approaches, legislation, technological developments, and best practices in the field of fire safety. Following the strong interest shown in previous years, this year’s symposium is expected to once again contribute to addressing fire safety from a holistic perspective by all related professional groups and to enhance participants’ professional knowledge.
Within the scope of the symposium, an Exhibition will be organized to enable participants to closely examine new technologies in the field of fire safety, review products and solutions on site, and establish direct contact in line with their needs. In this context, the participation of public institutions and private sector representatives operating in the field of fire safety is targeted.
